With health one of the main things we can focus on and take care of, I thought I would share what I am do at home, as its asked regularly (and i love to share all thins in the health and wellness space for families ! )

Keeping check of your health is paramount to also keeping check of mental health. They go hand in hand. Fueling your body to support your emotional health and physical health to face each day is only a good thing right now. Any effort is worth it.

Vitamin C - I personally take 1000mg to 2000mg most days as our bodies doesn't make Vitamin C, so we need to ensure we are getting it through whole food or through additional support. ( ALWAYS read ingredient of your vitamins! )

Vitamin D ( even better sunshine on your body ) - Even in winter, if you can find even 15 minutes of sun, it can bring your immune system a heap of goodness

Zinc - Biocuiticals have a great new product called Mum Care , Dads can take it too. Though its great combo of Zinc C and D

B Complex - Not a daily for me, though certainly through higher stress periods and actual periods! Complex B vitamins for Dads especially good through winter! I tend to try and find this one through foods.

Good Sleep - Turning screens off, darkened room. Magnesium spray always a beautiful part of a quality bedtime ritual. I always have a darkened and low-lit house as the sun sets.

Brisk Walks - 20 minutes a day is all that's needed to make a difference!

Wholefood -  Wholefood is where its at. If its in a plastic wrapper its a no go. Preservative, additives , the list goes on. ALL toxic load on your immune system let alone on little immune systems.

Reduce Toxic Loads - This is a delicate one for many ( ill tread gently! )..... perfume,  Deodorants, fabric softener, shower gels. LYNX FX! ( yes the Dads can go low tox , no tox too!) All toxic loads that bare heavy weight on immune system function. ( if you've got constant headaches, fatigue, rashes, heavy periods, consent coughs.... take a look at what goes on your body, in your body on the daily? )

Bone Broth - I tend not to be fad follower! esp. with foods, though this one has earned itself a place in my kitchen over the years. I have really upped my soup game of late. I've always been a huge soup lover. I've absolutely gone to using pure organic bone broth for the base, and I absolutely notice the difference in my energy levels, my periods, aches and pains, sleep..... Bone broth is for everyone. Way too many benefits and researched benefits to list here, though feel free to take a look and add it to your diet! You can add it in spag bol, hamburger patties. I even sauté roast vegetable in it! This is where a get a lot of my B Vitamins from. Did I mention because of the collagen and gelatin in it, it helps you look younger! ( win win! ) For our children though its smaller amounts, as you might find it brings upset tummies. Even a teaspoon is enough to get the benefits from with young children.

Herbal Tea! - Need I say more! - Though with these, Id always choose organic! ( and yes I still have my morning coffee ! )

I make sure our home sticks to routine, especially for the children. Consistent bedtimes, for going to sleep and waking up. I have been walking even on the days when there feels like there too much to do. Walk. Start small, then get longer. Some days, take the children. Just walk. Fresh air is magic for everyone!

Shower before bed, to end the day. Give yourself the love you deserve and the pat on the back that's warranted always! I use a good quality magnesium oil before bed. Being authentic with your emotions is powerful, quality conversations with your children and partner can ensure health is kept in check. Stress causes adrenals to operate at a heighten state, which in turn then causes havoc on your immune system.  Are your lights on all night right up until bed time? Try and create a darker, relaxed vibe a few hours before bed.

Protect your peace! Limit scrolling, be conscious of self talk and focus on the things you can control each day. Uphold your personal boundaries with everyone in your circle, allow others to do the same. Make time to ground yourself each day. There's so much going on around us. After the last 2 years in Melbourne, and everything we've been though, don't discredit that there's already a substantially amount of emotional fatigue just from lockdowns ect. Taking on too much can cause burnout and in turn deplete your immune system,. This is for both parents and children. Emotional health is just as important as physical health!

I'm always available for anything especially conversations or support around your families heath and wellness. Always x x
